Villagers pulled a drawing baby elephant to safety after he fell into a water Tank.
One five-month-old male calf was rescued by villagers in the Varnabari Tea Garden of Alipurduar in West Bengal.
The animal, which were came from the adjacent Hamiltan Ganj range of Buxa tiger Reserve, is believed to have fallen in while trying to drink some water.
With the help of local people and a crane, the forest department rescued two elephant after six hours. Rescued mission became complicated as the baby elephants were continuously surrounded by its herd. The herd was distracted with bursting of crackers.
