Came to Cusco to do Machu Picchu spontaneously. We were unaware you had to book so far in advance to do the Inca trail.
We asked around friends and were reccomended the Inca jungle!
Best decision.
Not only is the price around 1/3 of the price of the Inca Trail l, but the experience is a thousand times better in my opinion.
Day 1: mountain biking through the beautiful mountains(all down hill for 3hrs) followed by white water rafting through the rivers under the spectacular scenery.
Day 2: hiking through the Inca trail, experiencing the jungle and learning all about the medicines including coca, cable cars across rivers, suspension bridges and beautiful hot springs!
Day 3: zip lining between mountains and across giant rivers. Suspension bridges across rivers.
