A newborn baby boy who was born with severe facial deformities is being derided by fellow villagers as an ‘alien’.
The as-yet unnamed child was born to Karishma and Arshad at their home in Aligarh, in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The baby, to his mother’s shock, was born without ears or a nose, and with eyes that protrude heavily out of their sockets.

The baby boy weighs five pounds and has a healthy pair of limbs.
Doctors have said that he is breathing properly, and that they believe he will survive.
Arshad and Karishma, who also have a two-year-old daughter, are hoping for a miracle that will give their son a long and healthy life.

The unnamed tot was born with bulging red eyes and holes in place of his nose as his mum admitted "I have never seen a child like this before".


The unusual birth sparked crowds of villagers to the family's home in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India, amid claims they suspect the boy is an 'alien'.

But his dad, a painter named Arshad, said the family will care for their son for as long as possible as he pledged not to turn his back on him.
