Passengers terrified as plane bounces off runway in alarming aborted landing
Footage shows the moment a plane was forced into a terrifying aborted landing after strong cross winds bounced it along a runway.
The Enter Air flight was due to land at Salzburg Airport in Austria at about 11.25am yesterday.
Footage shows the Boeing 737 decreasing altitude as it battles strong crosswinds during the landing.
Just metres from touch down, the plane's right wing drops leaving it awkwardly trying to get the wheels down.
However, the pilot aborts the landing during the procedure - pulling the plane back up into the skies.
As the Boeing B7370-800 jet approaches the runway gusts of wind tips its wings and the plane appears to bounce off the tarmac and back up into the air.
The pilot was reportedly forced to divert the plane back to Frankfurt in Germany – where it had departed less than an hour beforehand.
