Hippo Walks Out of Israeli Safari, Then Walks Back In

A safari close to Tel Aviv in Israel said it was assessing its security after a hippopotamus walked out an open gate on the evening of November 1 before turning around and walking back in.
The Ramat Gan Safari shared this security footage of the incident on Facebook the following day. The video shows the hippo walking out the gate at 6:07pm and returning inside about three minutes later.
In a brief statement that accompanied the video, the safari said its board was treating the incident seriously and was conducting an investigation.
