Egypt, Hurghada is great for practising freestyle with stable strong wind and there is also Sliders wake park if there is no wind. Tricky to fly to, direct flights from London, Istanbul and Germany. Low-key unsafe in non-tourist places, and very deserted but super cheap and the sea is perfect for diving.
Mauritius, Le Morne is awesome for amazing landscapes, waves and luxury hotels, with perfect service and tasty food as well as many tourist attractions such as a super cool zoo, numerous waterfalls and colourful ground. 11-hour flight from Paris/London.
